IoT enables DDoS Attacks

Undergraduate student Daiwai Zhou and Prof. Natalija Vlajic publish research in the IEEE Xplore Magazine July 2018 issue on Cybertrust in the IoT Age identifying how unprotected IoT devices such as webcams can be used for distribute denial of service attacks (DDoS).

Prof. Vlajic brings to the table a vast knowledge in IoT, computer security, user privacy, machine learning, data mining, sensor networks and mobile communications.

Daiwai Zhou was (at the time) a major in the Computer Security, Specialised Honours program, completing his final year project.
